Pioneers of The Montessori School for Shreveport established a school that would develop in children a blueprint for life, utilizing the unique Montessori method. The Montessori School for Shreveport is accredited by the American Montessori Society and is at the forefront of Montessori education in Louisiana. Each classroom is guided by a certified American Montessori Society (AMS) teacher who has been specifically trained for the ages of the children he or she is instructing.
The classrooms allow for a multi-age grouping of children at each level and large blocks of uninterrupted work time. Learning takes place in an interactive social setting, which fosters a sense of community, respect, and consideration for others.
