Shuqualak Farms in Frierson is a U-Pick, We-Pick berry lover's paradise for families and kids. You will find six acres of blueberries and fun! At Shuqualak Farms, their many acres of blueberry bushes are split into a front field and a backfield. A pond provides irrigation, and a two-story cypress house overlooks it all. However, the hub of the blueberry operation takes place in a house built before the turn of the century, which is surrounded by towering oaks. Many of the blueberry pickers come with family and friends to enjoy the outing and perhaps a brunch or picnic under the beautiful trees.

Shuqualak Farms is located just 15 minutes south of the I-49/Burt Kouns Industrial Loop intersection and is very easy to find. Our family spent about two hours, including drive time, and had a blast. We also enjoyed the free blueberry popsicles on the front porch and talking to our host. We will definitely be back next year to pick more blueberries. Their normal season runs from the first week of June until July 4.

To find the farm you will need to take I-49 south to Exit 186 ---- Hwy 175 north 2 miles, turn right on Gravel Point Road, about 100 yards, turn right on SHUQUALAK FARMS road. Check in at the big white house at the end of the lane.
